Uniform Information

The correct school uniform is as follows:
Boys - white shirt/polo shirt, dark trousers, school jumper, sensible black shoes/Trainers
Girls - white shirt/polo shirt, dark trouser/skirt, school jumper, sensible black shoes/Trainers

School jumpers can be purchased from Uniform Direct, located on Babington Street, Derby.  A limited amount may be purchased from the school office.

Pear Tree Community Junior School Uniform Policy

At Pear Tree Community Junior School, we believe that wearing school uniform plays an important role in fostering a sense of pride, belonging, and equality among our pupils. We are committed to promoting high standards of achievement and behaviour, and our uniform policy supports these goals. All children are expected to attend school in the correct uniform, which reflects the values of our inclusive school community.

Purpose of the School Uniform

The school uniform policy at Pear Tree Community Junior School has been developed with the following objectives in mind:

• Promote pride: Encouraging children to take pride in their appearance and their school.
• Foster equality: Ensuring all pupils are recognised as equal members of our school community.
• Enhance safety and recognition: Making children easily recognisable to staff and members of the community.
• Appropriate for learning: Ensuring children are dressed suitably for all school activities and lessons.

School Uniform Requirements

All pupils must wear the following:

Boys:

• White shirt or polo shirt
• Dark trousers
• School jumper (with the school logo)
• Sensible black shoes

Girls:

• White shirt or polo shirt
• Dark trousers or skirt
• School jumper (with the school logo)
• Sensible black shoes

Note: School jumpers can be purchased from Uniform Direct, located on Babington Street, Derby. A limited amount of stock may be available for purchase from the school office.

PE Kit

All pupils must have the following PE kit:

• White t-shirt
• Black shorts/Tracksuit/legging
• Black trainers

New Starters

As part of our commitment to ensuring all children feel welcomed and included, all new starters at Pear Tree Community Junior School are provided with a free uniform pack. This includes:

• A sweatshirt with the school logo
• A PE bag
• T-shirt and shorts for PE
• A water bottle

We recognise that the cost of school uniform can be a concern for some families. If you require support in obtaining uniform, please contact the school office in confidence. We are here to help and will work with you to ensure your child has the correct uniform.
