PE
Our ambition for PE at Pear Tree is for children to be ready for their next phase of education by being physically, emotionally and socially healthy. We provide a holistic view of PE. We understand that PE covers more than just sport and therefore our curriculum is based around fundamental movement skills, as well as the social and emotional skills needed to take part in physical activity. We aim to equip our children with leadership skills and the autonomy to apply these during break and lunchtimes.
Pear Tree follows the National Curriculum for PE using the scheme Real PE. Children take part in two PE sessions a week, one based on the Real PE scheme of work and the other around fitness challenges.
