Remote Learning: Printed Materials
Printed Materials and Learning Feedback
We understand that not all pupils have access to a device or this may not be suitable to record work. To support those pupils who are home learning that do not have access to a device we will be providing weekly packs of printed work. Packs will mirror the work completed in school or through online methods.
Pupils who are not able to complete work on Showbie are requested to come in and collect work. During collection, you and your child will be able to share and get feedback on their learning from a member of teaching staff.
These sessions will take place weekly on a specified day (see below). Parents and pupils can arrive between 9.30am and 2pm on their year group's day
Monday – Year 4
Tuesday - Year 5
Wednesday - Year 6
Thursday – Year 3
These drop-in sessions will take place in the Roma Community Care section of our school which is accessed off Harrington Street.
There is an expectation that ALL pupils will complete learning at home. If your child does not complete learning at home, they may be classed as ‘vulnerable’ and be expected to come to school to complete their learning.
Rainbow Learning Packs
We have created a range of packs that support pupils key skills, physical development and well-being. These are designed for pupils to use independently and help children to practice key elements of learning. These materials can be accessed below or please ask you child's class teacher which colour they would be best to start with.
Printed copies are available on request
Transform Learning Booklets
Transform Trust teachers have created books that can support children's learning at home. The books contain 5 weeks worth of work for reading, writing and maths.
These booklets could be used alongside ongoing learning and would provide additional opportunities to allow your child to 'catch up' on any lost learning.
If you would like a copy for your child please contact your child's class teacher. For you information an example is provided below.
CBBC
Throughout Lockdown 3 the BBC will be providing learning through the CBBC TV channel for pupils who may not have access to a device or the internet.
Please see the timetable below for the TV schedule:
