Remote Learning: Online Resources
Remote Learning
During National Lockdown 3 Pear Tree Community Junior School will provide 4 hours of remote learning learning every day. This will be a mix of live and recorded lessons, guided tutorial Presentations and independent and dedicated practice.
Work will be provided through Showbie, MarvellousMe and through printed materials. Please see below for further details
There is an expectation that all pupils not in school will complete their learning at home when working at home. If your child does not complete learning at home, they may be classed as ‘vulnerable’ and be expected to come to school to complete some or all of their learning.
Please see the school's Remote Education Policy for full details.
Remote Learning
Timetable
When learning remotely, it is beneficial for young people to maintain a regular and familiar routine. Pear Tree Community Junior School would recommend that each ‘school day’ maintains structure. We will provide a minimum of four hours of Teaching and Learning each day, alongside opportunities for daily deliberate practice. An example timetable is below
Showbie
Daily work can be accessed and completed using these digital learning platforms. Your child will have a username and password to access these activities. They need to upload evidence of their learning so that their teachers are able to respond.
Please see link below for access to Showbie: https://my.showbie.com/signin
