Website Accessibility Statement

This website is run by Pear Tree Community Junior School and this statement applies to https://www.peartreej.derby.sch.uk 26 June 2026. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings

  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen

  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Accessibility Features

We are committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all users and have taken the following steps to support accessibility:

  • Clear page structure with navigation menus and headings.
  • Ability to use browser zoom functions.
  • High Visibility Version available for users requiring increased contrast.
  • Google Translate option is available for users who require translation support. (Note: this is a convenience feature rather than a WCAG accessibility feature.)
